The Central Texas Chapter (CENTEX) of the American Society of Military Comptrollers is the non-profit educational and professional organization for persons, military and civilian, involved in the overall field of military comptrollership on Fort Hood and the surrounding communities of central Texas. Includes the fields of:

ASMC promotes the education and training of its members, and supports the development and advancement of the profession of military comptrollership. The society sponsors research, provides professional programs to keep members abreast of current issues and encourages the exchange of techniques and approaches.
Our Chapter provides professional and personal growth opportunities for its members. Membership includes Department of the Army Civilians and Active Military Members from III Corps and Fort Hood, 1st Cavalry Division, 4th Infantry Division, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), 89th Military Police Brigade, 3rd Signal Brigade, 13th Finance Management Center, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Operational Test Command (OTC/ATEC), Medical and Dental Command (MEDCOM), Army Material Command (AMC), 48th CHEM, 1st Army Division West, 75th BCTD in Houston, Texas and other various Army units and activities. Members have the opportunity to serve as officers and/or committee members and to attend monthly General Membership Lunch and Learn programs, as well as, other annual training events, such as the annual Mini Professional Development Institute (PDI)Training event for Resource Managers. Chapter funds are raised through donations, annual training events sponsored by the Chapter, and various organization fund raisers. The Chapter participates in “Make a Difference Day” activities, Fort Hood Family Day, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and other worthy projects. The Chapter supports relief organizations’ food and clothing drives (e.g. Katrina), local charitable and literacy organizations with funds for utilities and books/school supplies, Habitat for Humanity, Santa’s Workshop, and our deployed soldiers.
